(TruthandLiberty.com) – In recent months, some countries in the international community have accused Iran of attacking multiple oil ships in the Persian Gulf. None was worse than a drone attack on an Israeli oil tanker off the coast of Oman.
The strike is the first to kill crew members as a Romanian and British national sustained fatal injuries. The United States warns that an “appropriate response” is in the works. The State Department said it’s coordinating a potential response with Israel and other allies both in and outside of the region.

On Sunday, August 1, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Iran couldn’t justify the attack and other “belligerent behavior.” The secretary added that there was no doubt Iran used drones fitted with explosives for the attack. In addition, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett blamed Iran and said it would be held accountable for its actions. The United Kingdom offered a similar refrain to the US.
Iran denies the charges. On Sunday, a spokesman for the regime said during a press conference that it wasn’t the first time the US or its allies placed blame wrongly on the rogue nation. Despite the denial, just two days previously, Iran’s state-run media said the attack was specifically in response to Israel’s attack on a Syrian airport.
So, which is it?
