(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Saturday during a speech at the Republican Jewish Coalition Conference former President Donald Trump issued a warning against U.S. adversaries telling them that if they spilled a single “drop of American blood” then “we will spill a gallon of yours.”
During his speech, Trump spoke extensively about the recently escalated conflict between Israel and Hamas, a Palestinian militant group. On Saturday Israel launched a ground operation into Gaza which is under the control of Hamas. Across the world, there are many who have expressed concerns about the Palestinian civilians in Gaza following the recent blackouts and airstrikes. With the new Israeli incursion into the region, the humanitarian concerns have increased even further.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has argued that currently, they have two goals in this war, the first being to destroy Hamas completely and the second to bring the hostages taken by Hamas safely back to Palestine.
In his speech, Trump also attacked international college students and the two House Representatives who are the only Muslim women currently in Congress, Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.). Trump then claimed that he was going to cancel any events for those who sympathize with Hamas.
Trump claimed that college campuses across the U.S. were being taken over by Hamas sympathizers which was why he would cancel all the student visas for those who sympathized with the group.
The United Nations (U.N.) Secretary-General on Saturday also called for a ceasefire as there has been a growth in the humanitarian concerns in Palestine.
