(TruthandLiberty.com) – On Friday, November 12, the Justice Department charged former White House adviser and Conservative activist Steve Bannon for failing to cooperate with a subpoena from the House January 6 Select Committee. Hours later, former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows refused to comply with a deposition, as well. Nine partisan Democrats and two anti-Trump Republicans are investigating the events leading to the January 6 riot on Capitol Hill.

On Sunday, former President Donald Trump spoke his mind about Bannon’s situation. The former president stated the United States has never done to anyone what it’s doing to Bannon and potentially to others. He said if Democrats were as tough on China, Russia and other bad actors worldwide, the United States wouldn’t be failing at record levels. He added military blunders in Afghanistan, immigration problems and inflation resulted from a radicalized mess created by Democrats and President Joe Biden.
On Monday morning, November 15, Bannon surrendered himself to the FBI. The Department of Justice charged the former Trump adviser with one count of refusing to attend for testimony in October. Federal prosecutors also charged Bannon with failing to deliver documents legally requested by the committee. If Bannon is found guilty of both charges, he could face up to two years in prison.
