(TruthAndLiberty.com) – Following last week’s assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump, the Secret Service has advised his campaign to avoid events outdoors and with large crowds. The campaign is now going to be predominantly focused on large indoor venues, with Trump already scheduled to hold a rally at the Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina. The venue can hold nearly 11,000 people.

Trump’s outdoor rallies are known for their large number of attendees, with these events often taking place at football stadiums, fairgrounds, airports, and other large outdoor locations. However, indoor rallies are believed to be more easily controlled and more secure, as the access points are fewer and there are not as many visibility challenges. Despite the increased cost, the campaign is prioritizing indoor venues following the Secret Service’s recommendation.

Earlier this year, Trump’s advisers informed the Secret Service about plans for regular large events, noting that they would require additional resources and protection. Still, there were some disagreements relating to the allocation of resources.

The assassination attempt has led to significant changes in the campaign’s approach to security. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle, having accepted responsibility for the lapses in security during Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania, has resigned. Still, the incident also highlighted the need for additional security measures during Trump’s campaign events.

A Trump campaign spokeswoman and a Secret Service spokesman declined to comment on the security strategies and protective measures that will be followed after the shift to indoor spaces and venues.
