On Saturday former President Donald Trump posted on his social media platform, Truth Social an ominous warning about the U.S. facing dangerous times ahead. As he noted this “is the most dangerous time in the history of our Country.” He proceeded to say that World War III was “looming” and that the leadership of the country is completely responsible for the dangers that the country is facing.

He then proceeded to attack Joe Biden by stating that he is “hopeless” and that he was “leading us into Oblivion.” While Truth Social only has around 2 million unique users, the post managed to gain quite a bit of attention being shared 5,000 times and liked 15,000 times.

However, because of how vague the post it is hard to discern which exact policies of the Biden administration Donald Trump was disagreeing with. However, on Monday a representative for Donald Trump told Newsweek that the President was referring to the war between Ukraine and Russia and the U.S. involvement in it.

On Friday the war hit its one-year anniversary. Earlier that week President Biden made a surprise visit to Kyiv where he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. During his visit, he reaffirmed the U.S. commitment to continued support for Ukraine both financially and in terms of military aid. President Biden added that while “Ukraine stands. Democracy stands. The Americans stand with you, and the world stands with you.”

Trump on the other hand has repeatedly praised Russian President Vladimir Putin for his leadership abilities and has alleged that if he was still in office the invasion of Ukraine would have never occurred.
