(TruthAndLiberty.com) – Former President Donald Trump has stated that he has not yet carefully considered who would be his running mate in 2024 if he wins the Republican presidential primary, but he also noted that he was in favor of the “concept” of a woman taking on the role.
During an interview on Meet the Press with moderator Kristen Welker, Trump stated that he liked the “concept” but that ultimately he was just going to select the person that he considered the best choice. There are many rumors surrounding the possible running mates of Trump, including one about South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem being selected for the position.
When asked, Noem had stated that she would become Trump’s Vice President “in a heartbeat” and that the former president had her full endorsement.
Trump in the interview said that Noem would be on his potential list of people to consider because of her endorsement. He added that there were many people included on his list of potential running mates.
Other possible women who have been noted as possible considerations include the failed Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake, Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
In a different interview with Newsmax Noem pointed out that in order for Trump to win back the White House he would need a “strong partner” who understands how running a business works, as well as how to be an employee.
Trump has maintained that currently, his focus is on winning the primary election. Apart from the election, he is also facing four criminal indictments which could potentially affect his campaign.
