(TruthandLiberty.com) – Since 2019, former President Donald Trump has faced censorship and ultimately bans from YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. The social media companies say they prohibit Trump from sharing views that could inspire violence. Conservatives claim it’s much more nefarious as Facebook and Twitter don’t censor Liberal political rhetoric that might also incite bad behavior. Whatever the case, Trump is suing the platforms for violating freedom of speech protections, but he’s not leaving it in the hands of others to decide his fate.

For nearly a year, Trump hinted he was working on a new social media platform. On Wednesday, October 20, the former president announced the launch of a new social media platform in November, TRUTH Social. In a press release, Trump said he created the new platform to fight the “tyranny of Big Tech.” Trump said the social media giants hypocritically allow the Taliban to post freely on their sites while he remains silenced.
Trump added the mission of TRUTH Social is to rival the liberal social media companies and fight back against them. A full launch of the new social media network should come sometime in the first quarter of 2022, just in time for Republican primaries and the 2022 midterm elections.
