(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Friday, New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu (R) is going to be traveling to Des Moines, Iowa where he will meet with almost all the Republican primary candidates at the Republican Party of Iowa’s 2023 Lincoln Dinner.

This is the state’s biggest annual fundraising gala, and while Sununu has skipped the possibility of joining the presidential race for 2024, the popular governor is still going to be one of the attendees of the event.

Out of all the Republican presidential candidates, the only one who has chosen not to attend the event is former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, whose focus is currently on New Hampshire and South Carolina, the first two states in the GOP schedule. Both the frontrunner of the primary race, former president Donald Trump, and his biggest challenger Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis are going to be in attendance. Furthermore, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, former U.S. ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley, and former Vice President Mike Pence are all going to be in attendance.

Sununu has not yet announced which of the candidates he is endorsing in the primary race, but he has hinted that he will announce his decision before the New Hampshire primary during a Fox News Digital interview. The dinner in Iowa could be a good opportunity for him to meet with all the candidates and better understand their policies.

Sununu added that right now it’s about having a candidate with the right personality who is able to get others excited. He added that it is not only about what is being said but also about their delivery and how they perform when surrounded by all other candidates for the first time.
