Squad Members Can’t Agree on Supporting Biden in 2024

Squad Squabble: This Is One Issue Radical Democrats Can’t Agree On

(TruthandLiberty.com) – As gasoline prices and inflation inflict pain on Americans, voters are reacting to President Joe Biden’s response to the ongoing crisis. Citizens continue to give the president record-low approval ratings. On Thursday, July 16, RealClearPolitics average polls showed Biden’s disapproval rating at 54.4% and his approval at 39.9%. As the midterm elections approach and all eyes appear primed to turn to the 2024 presidential election immediately afterward, the Left can’t decide whether it will support the president if he chooses to run for re-election.

The polls and political analysts predict the GOP will trounce Democrats in November, and many Democrats believe Biden is an anchor they should cut loose ahead of the 2024 presidential election, especially if Donald Trump emerges as the GOP favorite. Among Democrats questioning Biden’s role in the future, the Squad can’t seem to agree if they will support him in 2024 or not.

On Sunday, June 12, Squad leader Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) refused to say whether she would back Biden if he ran for re-election. Instead, she pointed to November and noted her focus was Democrats maintaining the majority but suggested she’ll take a look when the time comes.

In contrast, on Wednesday, fellow Squad member Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) said twice she had no hesitation in supporting Biden if he chooses to run for a second term.

On Monday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre again confirmed Biden would run for re-election.
