(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Sunday during an appearance on CBS “Face the Nation” Vice President Kamala Harris avoided answering questions about whether there should be a limit to which week abortions should be allowed.
Moderator Margaret Brennan had asked Harris about what her thoughts were on codifying abortion rights through a federal law. Harris maintained that the majority of Americans supported abortion rights, however, she avoided talking about limits.
When Brennan asked about what Harris believed should be the cutoff point for abortion access, Harris started off by stating that what they currently needed to do was bring back the protections of Roe v. Wade. She added that they were not attempting to do something new.
However, Brennan interrupted her stating that this was “nebulous” and that if the question concerns viability then the limit should be somewhere between 20 and 24 weeks, which is also in the Women’s Health Protection Act which has been endorsed by the White House.
Harris concluded by stating that the President has always been clear on the fact that they needed to bring back the protections included in Roe v. Wade, and that is what they were looking to do. E
Many users on X, formerly known as Twitter, pointed out that Harris had refused to provide a clear answer to the question.
Stephen Miller, a contributing editor for The Spectator, noted that Harris, when directly asked about the point after which abortions should not be allowed, did not provide an answer.
Glenn Youngkin communications director Rob Damschen went as far as to say that with her response Harris had aligned herself with the extremist progressive candidates in Virginia who supported abortion until the 40th week.
