According to several bookmakers, DeSantis is presumed to be the leading favorite for becoming the next United States President. Trump is in second place, while Joe Biden is in third.

In the November 8 Florida gubernatorial race, DeSantis managed an easy win against Democrat Charlie Crist. For the past few months DeSantis has also been considered to be one of the main rivals that Trump might face if he chooses to place another bid for the White House. It is widely expected that Trump is going to make an official announcement regarding his intentions in the next few days.

Bookmakers have now said that DeSantis is the new frontrunner. This was after several of Trump’s endorsed candidates failed to win their midterm elections.

According to William Hill, DeSantis is at 5/2 to win the 2024 presidential election, while Trump is at 3/1. Irish bookmakers Paddy Power have put 9/4 for DeSantis and 7/2 for Trump.

SkyBet shows DeSantis as the favorite with 5/2 and Trump with 10/3.

DeSantis also appears to be the favorite on Coral, BetVictor, and Betfair.

The midterm elections, which are widely perceived to be a disappointment for the GOP as there was no “red wave” have shown that Trump’s MAGA agenda and election denial may not be the points that voters are placing their attention on.

Trump during the midterm elections endorsed over 300 candidates for different positions. However, on Tuesday many of his chosen candidates underperformed. These were the same candidates that had supported and maintained Trump’s claims of election fraud. While Trump himself was not on the ballot, this is widely seen as a failure for him as he did not manage to have the level of control he would have liked over the GOP.
