(TruthandLiberty.com) – The Republican National Committee (RNC) recently decided to condemn two members of its party, Representatives Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) and Liz Cheney (R-WY). While media outlets are reporting the matter in their own way, the RNC chairwoman tells her side of the story about why the RNC made the decision.
Ronna McDaniel, Chairwoman of the RNC, defended the committee’s decision to censure Cheney and Kinzinger and blasted the media for their “patently false” coverage of the issue in her op-ed on Townhall.

McDaniel asserted if American media wanted to know why people didn’t trust them, they didn’t need to look any further than their coverage of the RNC’s decision. The chairwoman explained the committee’s decision, noting Kinzinger and Cheney were part of a political weapon by participating on the January 6 Committee.
McDaniel stated Pelosi’s committee was nothing more than a partisan political machine designed to help Democrats at the expense of innocent people. The chairwoman added the January 6 Committee was never a bipartisan effort, noting how Pelosi didn’t allow several Republican candidates, instead handpicking Cheney and Kinzinger. McDaniel noted the two Republicans are allowing Pelosi to paint the January 6 probe as bipartisan through their participation.
The chairwoman insisted that was the reason for the RNC’s condemnation of Cheney and Kinzinger, not because they don’t believe an investigation into the January 6 riot was necessary, as the media has reported it. McDaniel declared she has always condemned the events of that day, and she will continue to do so, adding violence has no place in political discourse.
