Did This Respiratory Therapist Get Away With Killing NINE People?
(TruthandLiberty.com) – It’s not often investigators revive a 20-year-old murder case from seemingly nowhere, so they’re excited in Missouri about reopening the case of an elderly patient’s 2002 hospital death. Prosecutors now allege former respiratory therapist Jennifer Hall killed at least one of her patients at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe, Missouri.
Law&Crime reported the hospital averaged one cardiac emergency per year up until 2002. Yet, it happened 18 times when Hall worked at the hospital from December 2001 to May 2002, and nine of the patients died.

When elderly patient Fern Franco passed away on May 18, 2002, it was the last straw. The hospital placed Hall on administrative leave. Some staff said they believed Hall was responsible for all of the patients’ cardiac events. They said she was always in the area of the patients in question and that the respiratory therapist had access to lethal pharmaceuticals. In addition, the suspect personally notified the staff of all the cardiac emergencies.
An autopsy revealed Franco’s body had concentrations of succinylcholine and morphine. Doctors never prescribed her either medication, and an overdose of succinylcholine is known to cause people to suffocate to death slowly.
On May 4, 2022, Law&Crime said prosecutors finally filed charges against Hall for Franco’s death. Hall previously denied killing anyone. Authorities say they believe Hall knows there is a warrant for her arrest, and Sheriffs listed her as one of the most wanted fugitives in the Kansas City area.
