(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Wednesday, GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy launched a petition for the removal of Ronna McDaniel from her position as chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC). The petition comes only a week after he stated during the third Republican primary debate that McDaniel needed to resign.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Ramaswamy stated that he was “sick & tired” of the GOP Establishment that had turned them into a “party of losers.” He then questioned where the accountability was for all the recent election losses in 2018, 2020, 2022, and more recently 2023.

During the third primary debate in Miami, Ramaswamy had publicly called for McDaniel to resign pointing out that there have been multiple losses in recent election cycles during her time as chair.

Ramaswamy stated that he was now looking for “grassroots conservatives” from across the country to join him and be added to the “FireRonna” website as supporters of her removal.

Following the presidential debate, McDaniel responded to the statements made by Ramaswamy arguing that he was just trying to make deadlines as he was not doing well on the polls ahead of the fourth primary debate. The fourth poll by NewsNation is going to have even higher qualification criteria for donors and polling.

McDaniel further pointed out that the infighting was hurting the Republican party.

Still, these statements have not stopped Ramaswamy from calling for McDaniel’s resignation following the primary debate. Many experts have viewed these recent statements as an attempt by Ramaswamy to appear in contrast to the Republican establishment.
