Will Johnny Depp Return To Pirates Of The Caribbean Franchise?

(TruthandLiberty.com) – In 2003, Disney stumbled on a blockbuster movie series under the main title, “Pirates of the Caribbean.” The series was so successful Disney and producer Jerry Bruckheimer made five movies. All of them featured Johnny Depp’s iconic character, Captain Jack Sparrow. Now, Disney appears prepared to move forward with a sixth and seventh installment in the movie series, but will Depp revive his beloved character?

On Sunday, May 15, Bruckheimer told The Sunday Times Depp wouldn’t be back at this point in the planning process. Still, the famed producer said the future is undecided. Regardless, there could be two issues holding Depp back from reprising Captain Jack Sparrow.

The first is Depp’s $50 million defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife, Amber Hearst. The damage the trial’s salacious courtroom revelations have done to Depp’s career remains to be seen. Second, Depp is salty over how Disney treated him after Heard alleged the actor abused her, despite the fact he was never tried or convicted of a crime.

During the trial, Depp said he wouldn’t return to the role of Captain Jack Sparrow even if Disney offered him $300 million and a million alpacas. Depp also stated that Disney’s treatment of him felt like getting hit in the back of the head with a 2×4.

So, if Disney moves forward with “Pirates of the Caribbean” without Depp, is that a deal-breaker for you?
