Pelosi’s Hypocrisy Comes To Light

Jennifer-Ruth Green, the Republican candidate for Indiana’s 1st Congressional District, has accused her opponents of aiding in the publication of “illegally obtained” military records detailing the sexual assault she faced while stationed in Iraq.

Politico was the one to publish the details of the Republican congressional nominee’s sexual assault without first getting her permission. Democratic House leadership has so far not made any comments regarding this case.

Fox News Digital also asked Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, R-Md., and House Majority Whip Rep. Jim Clyburn, D-S.C. for comments on the Politico report regarding the sexual assault of GOP candidate Jennifer-Ruth Green. They also asked whether they thought that it was right for the press to publish a report about the victim of a sexual assault.

The piece in Politico was written by Adam Wren. He was the one to detail the sexual assault case that was detailed in military personnel documents. The report was part of a profile piece on the race as Green is looking to unseat incumbent Democratic Congressman Frank Mrvan in Indiana’s 1st Congressional District.

Green says that Politico ignored her requests to not publish the details of her assault in the piece. Politico, however, said that the military records were sent in by someone unaffiliated with her opponent’s campaign who acquired them through a FOIA request. Green, however, has maintained that the documents were illegally procured.

The Democrats have remained silent regarding Green’s case even though previously they have been vocal about cases of sexual assault against women.
