(TruthandLiberty.com) – In some areas of the country, parents have been at odds with the schools teaching their children. In 2021, the issue manifested itself in Virginia and across the country as parents spoke out against critical race theory in public schools. In early 2021, the battle transitioned to gender issues. Many school districts in Democrat-led areas are taking it upon themselves to assume the role of parents. Yet, the Justice Foundation said the Supreme Court has consistently ruled parents have the right to direct their children’s education, not the government.
On Tuesday, April 12, two sets of parents filed a federal lawsuit in Massachusetts. They allege teachers and administrators violated their parental rights because they failed to disclose and concealed information about their children’s gender identities. They say a teacher encouraged their children to identify themselves with pronouns and names without parental consent. The teachers also told the children to use a restroom or locker room that identified with their gender identities. The lawsuit claims the teachers and administrators acted with reckless disregard for the parents’ rights and freedom of religion.

In a statement to local media, Ludlow School Committee chairman James Harrington said the school supports its kids. Yet, he conceded the school should have communicated with the students’ parents and hoped educators would help their kids find positive direction in a loving and supportive way.
