(TruthAndLiberty.com) – A new Fox News Digital review of filings made by the campaign of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has shown that the campaign has continuously made payments to a Chinese foreign agent.

On May 25, the House Representative made a payment of $442 to Sing Tao Newspaper that was meant to be used for advertisements of her campaign. While this is not a large expense, Ocasio-Cortez has so far had the only committee that had an advertisement in that paper in the second quarter.

While this latest expense is relatively small, her campaign had previously given the company $5,000 for advertisement. Sing Tao U.S., a subsidiary of Sing Tao News Corporation Ltd., a Hong Kong-based company. In August of 2021, the Department of Justice mandated that all Chinese-owned entities must register as Chinese foreign agents.

Sing Tao U.S. was determined by the Department of Justice to be an entity with foreign political activity. Following this decision, Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign decided to spend $1,500 for ads through the company.

The operations of the entity include some large language publications across the United States in San Francisco, New York, and Los Angeles. They also run a Burlingame, California radio station.

Axios in a previous report found that the publication is deemed to be pro-Beijing and that more than half of its content comes from Star Production (Shenzhen) Limited, the Chinese company. Sing Tao U.S. has repeatedly claimed that its publications are not in any way affected by the Chinese Communist Party. Still, the Council on Foreign Relations has determined China’s government to be one of the most restrictive when it comes to the media.
