No-Warrant No-Warning ATF Inspection of Gun Owner Caught on Tape

[WATCH] American Gun Owners Terrified After ATF Does The Unthinkable

(TruthandLiberty.com) – As politicians debate firearms and propose gun control legislation, at least one man feels the government treated him inappropriately after he legally bought two weapons. Agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), along with a Delaware state trooper, all wearing tactical vests and hoisting guns, showed up at an unidentified man’s home demanding to see his recent purchases.

The law enforcement officials appeared respectful in the video. Yet, questions popped up about whether a warrant was in order. The officials told the gun owner there was a problem with straw purchases — when someone buys a firearm for someone else. The three officials said they needed to verify he had the weapons in his possession and stressed he had done nothing wrong.

The innocent homeowner complied with the request. Still, he said it was embarrassing because his neighbors saw the police wearing protective gear in his yard and front porch. He said he felt the police accused him of wrongdoing, but he complied to avoid having the government put him on a list.

Rep. Matt Rosendale (R-MT) said the ATF inspection concerned him. He noted the officers didn’t have a warrant and pressured the man into complying with their demand. The lawmaker said Congress needs to investigate the illegal search to stop it from happening again. Rosendale called the event unsettling and an assault on the Second Amendment.
