(TruthAndLiberty.com) – California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) in an interview with the Associated Press dismissed all speculations about him launching a primary challenge against President Biden, stating that there was no chance he was placing a bid for the White House in 2024.

Newsom stated that in the past few months, he has consistently been touting President Biden’s efforts and “making the case for his candidacy” including during a recent appearance on Fox News. Newsom has been widely speculated to be considering joining the race in part because of his feud with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis who recently announced that he was joining the GOP primary.

Last week, during an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, Newsom argued that he was “all in” on a possible debate between him and the Florida governor. However, DeSantis responded to Newsom by urging him to “stop p**syfooting around” and choose whether or not he was going to be entering the presidential race.

DeSantis during a press conference asked whether or not Newsom was going to enter the ring and challenge President Biden, or if he was simply sitting on the sidelines. DeSantis also argued that if Newsom joined the race, then they could discuss what would happen.

During his AP interview, Newsom responded to DeSantis by slamming him and calling him a “weak,” “undisciplined” candidate who is going to be completely crushed by former President Donald Trump in the race. He also predicted that DeSantis was also going to lose his position in the Republican primary polls and would soon be third or fourth in them.
