( – A new compilation video of a phone call between then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and then-Vice President Mike Pence during the attack on the Capitol on January 6, 2021, has led to a new conspiracy theory emerging online about the conversation being staged.

The video which amassed over 295,000 views on X, formerly known as Twitter, within one day, was posted by Robert The Builder. The first clip dates back to Jan. 6 at around 6 p.m. when Pelosi and New York Senator Chuck Schumer can be seen talking. This was the same day that supporters of former President Donald Trump marched and stormed the Capitol in an attempt to stop the certification of President Biden’s electoral victory. Trump had alleged that the presidential election had been stolen through widespread voter fraud, however, there is no evidence to suggest this to be true.

The insurrection has led to over 1,200 arrests and the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) latest data included another 400 cases of people who are accused of impending or assaulting law enforcement. The DOJ also revealed in early September that there are 623 that have already been sentenced, while around 657 have pleaded guilty to the charges.

During the phone call, Pence informed Pelosi and Schumer that after discussing with the U.S. Capitol Chief of Police he was informed that the House and Senate would most likely “be able to reconvene in roughly an hour.”

In the next clip Pence and Schumer can be seen talking with Pence while Senator Chuck Grassley is also standing next to them. The dialogue is roughly the same in both conversations.
