(TruthandLiberty.com) – In a Wall Street op-ed that appeared on Tuesday, August 17, former Vice President Mike Pence set the record straight on Joe Biden’s botched exit from Afghanistan. The former VP said Biden’s fiasco was a foreign policy humiliation. The last time anything this bad happened, according to Pence, it was during the Iran hostage crisis during the Jimmy Carter presidency.

Pence went on to say that the debacle embarrassed the United States and caused allies and friends to cast doubt on our dependability. In addition, Biden’s action has invigorated America’s enemies. Pence went on to say the worst part of Biden’s incompetence was the dishonor the president brought to the memory of 9/11 victims and the people who served in Afghanistan.
Saving the best for last, the vice president refuted Biden’s lies about the Trump agreement with the Taliban. Pence stated that the 2020 deal required the Taliban to end all attacks on US troops, stop protecting terrorists and negotiate with the Afghan leaders to create a new government. Biden broke the deal by keeping the military in Afghanistan for four additional months, which incentivized the Taliban to pursue its agenda. Afghanistan is now in ruins, and the reputation of the United States is in tatters.
