On Tuesday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene announced that she was planning on introducing impeachment articles against FBI Director Christopher Wray and Matthew Graves, the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia.

Greene in a release claimed that Wray has allowed President Biden and Attorney General Merrick Garland to use the FBI as a “personal police force.” She added that the FBI has been used against those U.S. citizens who have been “deemed enemies of the Biden regime.”

She proceeded to point out a number of examples from Wray’s tenure which in her view demonstrate the agency’s incorrect conduct. One of the points she brought up was the plot in 2020 to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D). As she pointed out, a couple of the men involved in the plot had been acquitted after defense attorneys argued that the FBI entrapped them and had pushed them to become a part of the conspiracy.

Other men involved in the plot, including the suspected ringleaders, were found guilty.

Greene then talked about the FBI’s raid into former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in search of classified and sensitive documents last August. She further alleged that Trump had not done anything wrong by keeping those documents, but that Biden did not have the authority to have in his possession any of the classified documents found in his home or former office.

Greene stated that the Director of the FBI and any other civil officer did not have the right to abuse their power in order to target any political class in favor of another. Her article will also accuse Wray of not having ensured that Congress laws were “faithfully executed” and had thus failed to uphold his oath.
