Liz Cheney Prefers Democrats to MAGA Republicans

Liz Cheney Makes SHOCKING Confession

( – Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) was once a rising star in the Republican Party, ascending quickly to leadership in the House GOP caucus. Still, the party booted her after she voted to impeach former President Donald following January 6, 2021, Capitol Hill riot. Now, the Wyoming lawmaker is running for re-election, but her chances aren’t looking good. Recent statements suggesting she prefers working with Democrats over MAGA Republicans may not help her case.

On Sunday, August 7, Cheney told the New York Times she preferred working with left-wing colleagues to those who supported Trump despite her political differences. The Wyoming native said those Democrats loved their country and wanted to do right by it, insinuating that people who support the former president don’t.

The Wyoming Republican will be the last of 10 GOP incumbents on the ballot who voted to impeach Trump when she faces voters. Reps. Jaime Herrera Beutler (R-WA), Peter Meijer (R-MI), and Tom Rice (R-SC) lost to Republican challengers. Four others chose to retire from Congress instead of running for re-election.

Cheney is unlikely to win her primary as she’s down double digits to her Trump-endorsed challenger, Harriet Hageman. The most recent poll says the incumbent only has a 30-point approval rating with voters. Still, she says she has no regrets and expressed optimism the party will heal over the next few election cycles.
