Did The Nation’s Biggest RINO Just Announce a 2024 Run?
(TruthandLiberty.com) – In 2020, many voters considered Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) a rising star in the Republican Party. She quickly rose to House leadership as a respected conservative. Yet, after she voted to impeach Donald Trump in January 2021 and joined the Democratic House Select Committee investigating the January 6 capitol riot, she fell out of favor with the national and state GOP. Cheney will likely lose the upcoming primary, but that’s not stopping her from considering a run at the presidency in 2024.
Recently, Cheney told ABC News she hasn’t ruled out running for president in 2024 but is currently focusing on the primary and the midterms. The Wyoming Republican previously said she would do everything possible to prevent former President Donald Trump from winning the White House a second time.

In two recent polls, Cheney is seriously lagging behind her contender, Harriet Hageman, who has the 45th president’s endorsement. One poll said the opponent leads Cheney 56% to 28%. Club for Growth put Hageman at 56% versus Cheney’s 26%.
Still, a state matchup against a Trump endorsee is one thing. It’s another to take on the political giant. A Yahoo News/YouGov poll showed that more registered voters would vote for Trump over Biden in 2024. So, could Cheney even compete with the popular Republican? Perhaps not today, but the 2024 election season doesn’t kick off until the fall of 2023. In politics, a year can be a lifetime.
