(TruthandLiberty.com) – For generations, Kool-Aid has been a beloved and cherished sweet drink by kids and adults alike. For some, Kool-Aid is a way of life. Still, if you’re a Costco shopper, you may want to stop what you’re doing and double-check your product labels. On Friday, November 12, Costco published a recall of the Kool-Aid Tropical Punch Mix flavor packets. Kraft Heinz said some of the batches prepared for Costco stores included the potential presence of metal or glass.

Heinz says the foreign objects may have been unintentionally mixed into the product during the manufacturing process. The food maker discovered the presence of the material during an internal review at a production facility in California. As of Tuesday, Costco and the makers say there haven’t been any complaints or reports of injury or illness related to the product.
The affected packages of the Kool-Aid Tropical Punch Mix come in an 82.5-ounce can and are sold as Costco item number 95740 with best-by dates of August 31, 2023, and September 1, 2023. You can locate the best-by date on the bottom of the container. If you purchased a can of the drink mix, you can return it to Costco for a full refund.
Kraft Heinz has apologized for any inconvenience this may have caused consumers.
