(TruthandLiberty.com) – For months, questions have swirled about North Korea’s dictator, Kim Jong Un. With the communist dictator unusually absent from the public eye, some people wondered if he was deathly sick. Others opined that he was dead. The rising status of his sister, Kim Yo-Jong, fueled speculation even further as she began speaking out.

Every year, the US and South Korean militaries participate in joining military training exercises. Like clockwork, Kim denounces the move by the two allies as hostile actions against his communist dictatorship. Strikingly, Kim Jong-Un isn’t the one speaking this year. It’s his sister that’s doing the talking, and she’s unhinged toward the US.
Yo-Jong heavily criticized the joint military training as “unwelcome, self-destructive action” and said the United States would pay a “dear price” for the dangerous move. She called South Korea “treacherous” for its war-like training with the United States.
The 33-year-old dictator-in-waiting’s outburst might signify the tensions and struggles inside the communist regime. North Korea faces a severe food crisis, and concerns are rising that the rogue nation could run out of food by the end of September. It wouldn’t be the first time. From 1995 to 1998, the government inflicted a self-imposed famine on its people.
Is it possible that the rhetoric is a cry for help, or is it a threat to South Korea and the US? It’s difficult to know.
