During Turning Point USA’s America Fest on Saturday Kari Lake, Arizona’s defeated Republican gubernatorial candidate called for those in the crowd to pray for her legal team who are currently facing sanctions because of an election lawsuit.

Following Lake’s loss in the state’s gubernatorial race to Democrat Katie Hobbs in November, Lake filed a lawsuit to challenge the results of the election. In her lawsuit, she asked the court to either have her be declared the winner or to rerun the election in Maricopa County, as there are many reports about voters facing technical difficulties when voting on Election Day.

Earlier this year Lake’s legal team was sanctioned by a court after a federal judge rejected the request made by her and Mark Fincher, to have all votes in Arizona hand counted during the November midterm elections.

The judge also ruled that the lawyers had “made false, misleading, and unsupported factual assertions” in their lawsuit.”

Lake claimed that the sanctions were an attempt to have her lawyers “silenced.” Lake also told the audience that they were heading to court tomorrow and that their case was too strong to be thrown out. She then encouraged the crowd to pray for her legal team who had been working really hard to put together these cases.
