Kamala’s Hypocrisy Exposed

In Austin, many are weighing in on the question of whether Vice President Kamala Harris should visit the southern border to see what the border crisis is actually like, during her trip to Texas.

On Saturday, Harris said that people should not have to go to jail for smoking weed.

However, she has overseen 2,000 convictions for pot-related offenses. During a speech in Austin, Texas Harris talked about President Joe Biden’s decision that those with federal charges of simple marijuana possession should be pardoned.

Harris said in response to this that they are also changing their perspective and that this signifies a new federal approach to marijuana.

During her time as a San Francisco district attorney, Harris oversaw the convictions of close to 2,000 people for marijuana-related offenses according to a Bay Area News Group report from 2020.

In 2010, when she ran for state attorney general, she also opposed a state-wide ballot measure for green light marijuana use. She at the time had said this measure was “flawed public policy.”

Harris has previously admitted that during college she had smoked weed, which had upset her father the Jamaican-born Donald Harris. She had then invoked her heritage to say that pot should be legalized.
