(TruthAndLiberty.com) – Despite no confirmation about who former President Donald Trump’s running mate will be, Vice President Kamala Harris revealed she has plans to challenge them to a debate.

In an interview with Politico, Harris suggested the former President “wants an enabler” and not “another Mike Pence.”

She claimed Trump’s shortlist would need to pass a litmus test on their loyalties, which she insisted would have to be to Trump “over country… their oath of office… [and] the American people.”

Harris emphasized that all of Trump’s potential veep candidates had supported his abortion stance, going as far as to vote “against the right to contraception” in the Senate.

The Vice President then revealed that Democrats were planning to portray Trump and whoever he chooses as his running mate as indistinguishable to counteract any potential to moderate Trump’s image with his veep selection.

Harris singled out Republican State Representative Byron Donalds (Florida), who suggested that during Jim Crow, black families were stronger. Donalds explained that black families were “together” during Jim Crow and “voted conservatively,” despite always being “conservative-minded.”

While referencing the Florida Republican’s remarks, the Vice President suggested that Florida was attempting to “erase or rewrite our true history.”

She then pivoted to expressing her readiness to debate whoever Trump selects as his running mate, something he is likely to do at the Republican National Convention in mid-July. Harris stated her plans to be at CBS studios in “July or August,” adding, “Let’s see if the other side shows up.”

She added that she would debate “who [Trump] picks, no matter who it is.”
