(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Thursday, Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign slammed former President Donald Trump’s Fox News interview and brought forward questions regarding his mental fitness and age.
The campaign put forward the statement in which it blasted Trump for his age, 78, in an attempt to push against Trump, the same narrative that the Republicans had been using against 81-year-old President Joe Biden before he dropped out of the presidential election. Biden had faced many questions regarding his mental fitness and whether he was in a position to serve in office for another four years.
The campaign pointed out that after watching the interview on Fox News the only question they have is whether or not Trump is alright. It added that for Americans the key takeaway from that interview is that Trump is “old,” “weird” and should not be in the Oval Office again.
On Thursday, Trump had made an appearance on Fox in which he had claimed that President Biden’s address from the Oval Office had been “terrible.” He further claimed that Biden’s decision to leave the presidential race was a “coup” because they did not want him to be running. He added that because Biden was down in the polls, they thought that he was going to lose the race. Trump also pointed out how Biden’s poor performance in the presidential debate had been the start of the push against Biden.
During his morning appearance on Fox, Trump commented on the protests that took place in Washington, D.C., arguing that anyone who desecrates the U.S. flag should face a one-year imprisonment.
James Singer, who is Harris’s spokesperson, argued that Trump was erratic during the interview and only instilled fear, and chaos while perpetuating dangerous threats. He added that Harris offers a different future with lower costs and more freedom and opportunity for everyone.
