(TruthandLiberty.com) – Liberal pundit and Fox News contributor Juan Williams is making a stunning allegation against House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) without thinking through all the facts. While Williams is a partisan, that shouldn’t preclude him from seeing both sides of a story. The pundit questioned why McCarthy censured Rep. Steve King (R-IO) two years ago for white supremacist statements, but he refuses to discipline Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) for disparaging comments against Muslim Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN).
Gazette editorial board: Boebert should blast Omar for bigoted tropes
"Boebert said things she regrets but did nothing that compares to the consistent hostility Omar foments toward the world’s nearly 15 million Jews."https://t.co/YY3Q4nNWpV— Amy O. Cooke (@TheRightAOC) December 4, 2021
To put things in perspective, it’s important to see both sides. In 2019 and 2020, Omar made several anti-Semitic remarks. Even Jewish members of the Democratic Party were upset at Omar’s highly inappropriate comments. On at least two occasions, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) refused to censure or strip Omar of her committees. Instead, the House voted one time on a resolution condemning all forms of hate speech without mentioning Omar a single time.
There is one other fundamental difference between Omar and Boebert. Omar never apologized for her anti-Semitic remarks. Boebert publicly apologized to the Muslim community for her words and attempted to personally apologize to Omar before a call broke into a heated conversation.
Perhaps Williams would benefit from seeing things from another perspective?
