(TruthandLiberty.com) – When John Kerry served as former President Barack Obama’s Secretary of State, the statesman was a strong proponent of human rights. Did something change over the last five years? In recent months, the former Secretary of State, currently President Biden’s climate czar, may have been working behind the scenes to derail legislation meant to vigorously censor China for using forced labor.

While the Biden administration is publicly against China’s use of slave labor to make products like solar panels, Kerry seems willing to sacrifice those Chinese slaves for the greater good of his climate change agenda. Republicans assert Kerry is lobbying against bipartisan legislation that would ban Chinese goods made with Uyghur slave labor. Sen. Marcio Rubio (R-FL) introduced the legislation and said Kerry convinced the president to stay silent on the matter to get China to agree on climate change proposals.
The Senate unanimously passed the bipartisan legislation in July, but it now sits on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) desk. Allegedly, Kerry has pressured Democratic leaders to sit on the bill. While Kerry argues the diplomatic point, he may also have a financial interest in ensuring the legislation doesn’t get signed into law. It appears Kerry and his wife invested $1 million into a Chinese solar panel company known to contract with agencies using Chinese forced slave labor.
