Jen Psaki Gets Really Awkward After Simple Question

(TruthandLiberty.com) – On Tuesday, February 15, President Joe Biden gave a speech about the growing tensions and possibility of war between Ukraine, NATO and Russia. In a strongly-worded statement, he warned Russia against cyberattacks targeting US companies and vital infrastructure. Soon after, every television network lost power and the ability to broadcast Biden’s remaining words.

Later in the day, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki met with reporters. Fox News White House Correspondent Jacqui Heinrich asked about recent cyberattacks in Ukraine and if they had anything to do with a possible invasion by Russia. Psaki said intelligence agencies were working on learning the origination of the cyberattacks, adding it’s a process that happens behind the scenes.

Then, Heinrich asked an insightful and curious question. She wanted to know if the power outage during Biden’s speech was related to a cyberattack or if it was just a coincidence. Psaki laughed off any questionable connections and noted the outage was an inconvenience, but the Fox News correspondent pushed back and said the timing seemed suspect. Of course, Psaki responded without an answer. She said the administration didn’t have an assessment of why the power was turned off to the press.

The reply didn’t satisfy many observers on social media. When Heinrich posted her question on Twitter, commenters seemed to enjoy posting snarky responses to Psaki’s reply.
