World Leader ASSASSINATED – Learn What Went Wrong

(TruthandLiberty.com) – Japan’s former Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, was the longest-serving since the country’s recovery after World War II. On Friday, July 8, the highly popular 67-year-old was speaking on the campaign trail in support of a candidate on the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan ticket when a lone gunman shot him several times. Authorities said Abe died in the hospital due to cardiopulmonary arrest.

Tetsuya Yamagami, 41, allegedly confessed to police, saying he wanted to assassinate the former world leader because he was dissatisfied with Abe’s association with an unnamed group. Supposedly, the shooting had nothing to do with politics. Japan has some of the strictest gun laws in the world. Ordinarily, less than ten people die annually from incidents involving firearms. Police say Yamagami used a homemade handgun to kill the leader.

Investigators said they found several more handmade guns and explosives at the assassin’s home. Police said the firearm was approximately 40cm long and 20cm high. Some say that anyone with a basic knowledge of how a gun works could make a simple gun like the one the attacker used to kill Abe. Still, many wonder why security was so light at the event, considering Abe’s high social and political status in Japan. Unfortunately, there are far more questions than answers about how this happened at this point.
