Jared Kushner was present during Donald Trump’s presidential campaign announcement. His wife Ivanka Trump was notably absent, as she has noted that she would not take part in her father’s 2024 campaign.

Only a week after the lackluster results of the midterm elections, the former President launched his third presidential campaign. This is during a time when many Republicans have shifted the blame on him for the “red wave” not materializing. Kushner, who had served as a senior adviser in the Trump White House, was present when the announcement was made in a ballroom at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club in Florida.

However, his wife, who had also served as a senior adviser was noticeably absent. Ivanka Trump later released a statement in which she said that she had no plans of being involved in Trump’s presidential campaign. She added that while she loves her father dearly, this was a time when she would choose to prioritize her children and private life over politics. She added that she continues to support her father, only this time she “will do so outside the political arena.” Finally, she noted that she was very appreciative of having previously served the American people.

During her time in the White House as an adviser, Ivanka Trump predominantly focused on empowering women through education, job creation and further economic growth.
Currently, Ivanka Trump and her husband have left Washington, D.C. and have chosen to live in Miami with their three children.
