(TruthAndLiberty.com) – Nancy Pelosi may have doubts Biden will be the Democratic nominee.

According to reports by The Hill, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California) is the most recent influential Democrat lawmaker telling House Democrats to hold off on publicly supporting President Joe Biden as the party’s nominee.

One House Democrat revealed they had a “conversation with” Pelosi, describing the former House Speaker as “very concerned,” and added Pelosi hadn’t been adamant Biden would be the Democratic nominee.

Reports on Pelosi’s behind-the-scenes conversations come as Axios reported that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-New York) had privately revealed to donors he is open to replacing Biden at the top of the ticket.

It also comes as Biden sent congressional Democrats a letter on Monday, where he confirmed he wouldn’t be withdrawing and demanded lawmakers “end” the intraparty drama that began with his abysmal debate performance.

Another lawmaker revealed Pelosi had been giving a voice to other Democrat lawmakers who felt supporting Biden had been forced on them, stating that “Pelosi speaks for the sense that” those who are circling the wagons “need a lot more wagons to circle.”

However, whether Pelosi supports Biden is unclear.

According to the Hill report, Pelosi has privately encouraged vulnerable Democrat lawmakers to publicly call on Biden to withdraw if that meant helping them keep their seats. However, she advised those in safe districts to take their concerns to the White House.

In response to the report, Pelosi’s spokesperson, Ian Krager, dismissed the idea Pelosi isn’t rooted in her support for Biden, stating the former Speaker “fully supports” Biden’s decisions.
