(TruthandLiberty.com) – Ahead of the infamous January 6, 2021, riot on Capitol Hill, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas’ wife, Ginni, reportedly texted then-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows. At least 21 times, she implored him to find a way to keep then-President Donald Trump in office. The contents of those text messages are driving progressive and Democratic socialist politicians to call for the impeachment of the highly-popular conservative Justice.
On Thursday, March 24, Squad member Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) was the first Democrat to call for Thomas’ ouster over his wife’s texts. She hasn’t let up since. The question is, is an elected official responsible for something a spouse says or does?
Omar alleges Justice Thomas doesn’t care about his oath of office for failing to recuse himself from a Supreme Court vote about releasing the former president’s January 6 documents. Therefore, he should be impeached or held accountable at a minimum. The far-left Democrat added if he’s not, our Democracy is at stake.
On Saturday, March 27, George Washington University Constitutional law professor Jonathan Turley wrote Democratic calls for Thomas’ impeachment have no connections to Constitutional or logical foundations. He said the repeated impeachment pushes by Democrats in recent years are nothing less than a raging addiction.
