(TruthandLiberty.com) – Over the last several years, Democrats alleged Republicans and former President Donald Trump participated in numerous disinformation campaigns around the 2020 presidential election. Yet, few have asked about the misinformation from two-time failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and her campaign in 2016. On September 29, 2020, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) published a letter in which former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe said Clinton ordered a campaign to stir up dirt regarding Trump and the email scandal that threatened her presidential prospects.
On July 31, 2016, the FBI opened an investigation known as Crossfire Hurricane to investigate possible Trump-Russia collusion. After the government spent over $30 trillion investigating the allegation, the Mueller Report concluded no collusion was found and ended the probe without filing any criminal charges. On Wednesday, April 13, Hillary Clinton finally responded to a court filing by special counsel John Durham that demonstrated her campaign paid a firm to conduct research linking Trump to Russia.
What Durham Discovery Has Hillary Clinton on Edge?
On Monday, April 4, Durham filed a court report that alleged Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann coordinated with a tech executive to glean Internet data from Trump Tower and the White House. They had one overarching goal, to establish Russian interference in the 2016 presidential campaign and tie Trump to Russia to create an explosive and damaging narrative about the then-Republican candidate.
Durham charged Sussman with lying to the FBI in September 2021. Sussman was a former federal prosecutor who worked for a law firm with deep ties to the Democratic party. On September 16, 2016, Sussmann told federal law enforcement officials about possible links between a Kremlin-linked bank and a computer server at the Trump Organization. In the indictment against Sussman, Durham alleges the attorney lied about his capacity with the Clinton campaign while making the allegations to the FBI — which led to the three-year Mueller investigation.
Clinton Denies, Deflects, and Blames
Hillary Clinton broke her silence when she tweeted her interpretation that Fox News and Trump were spinning a false scandal (denial) to help Trump deflect from his own troubles. Of course, Clinton wouldn’t know anything about deflection. She added that they lie the more his misdeeds are exposed (deflect). Then, she cited Vanity Fair to debunk the story, which blamed Trump and conservative media for getting the story wrong.
Durham’s filing outlines, in great detail, the scheme by which Clinton’s campaign authorized a concocted story about Trump Russia collusion, how an operative spread that story to the government, and how the government turned an investigation into a three-ring circus led by Democrats on Capitol Hill. All the while, Durham alleges the campaign and the operatives knew there was never any credible evidence.
Bigger questions remain: How long did the government spy on Trump? Who had access to sensitive surveillance records, and who approved White House data access? Who at the Obama/Biden White House was privy to the information?
Durham may just be getting started, and Clinton might start squealing as she grows more nervous.
