Since announcing, the star has kept a quiet profile while he raises money and support from influential Republicans across the state. In 2022, Walker heavily supported former President Donald Trump. Now, Trump is helping boost the Georgia superstar.

On Saturday, September 25, Donald Trump is hosting a rally in Perry, GA. Trump’s biggest attraction is Hershel Walker. It’s the first time the newly announced GOP candidate will be campaigning publicly to replace far-left Sen. Raphael Warnock’s (D-GA) in 2022. In January, Warnock won a tight run-off election against incumbent Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-GA), which helped Democrats gain a 50/50 balance in the Senate and the majority alongside Vice President Kamala Harris.
Walker enjoys massive name recognition in the Peach State for his glory days playing football for the Georgia Bulldogs. Walker and Trump hope that the combination of the two will give the first-time political candidate a leg up in a primary as well as a head-to-head matchup against the far-left Warnock. While Trump isn’t on a ticket at this time, the former president’s PAC, Save America, is hosting rallies to boost Trump’s profile and support his brand of conservatism. The former president will host another rally on October 9 in Iowa.
