On Sunday, Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel warned that unless the Republican party is united they will not be able to defeat President Joe Biden in the 2024 presidential election.

During an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union,” McDaniel said that the only way to win in 2024 was by fixing the party and “coming together.” She added that they needed to stop the infighting so that they could “support each other in the end.” McDaniel is currently focused on her unity platform which aims to bring the party together.

She has further pointed out that one of the reasons why the Republicans lost in many key races in the 2022 midterms was because the Republicans did not provide support to candidates from their own party. She added that they needed to stop being so divided that they failed to see the issues they have to deal with including “a border crisis, a fentanyl crisis, an inflation crisis.”

She added that most Americans are suffering because of the Biden administration’s policies and that Republicans would be able to achieve a lot more if they stopped infighting.

McDaniel also announced that for candidates to participate in the first Republican debate for the 2024 primary in August in Milwaukee, candidates are most likely going to be required to sign a pledge that states they will willingly support whoever wins the 2024 presidential nomination. She added that this was also part of the 2016 GOP primary race as well and that she considered it a “no-brainer.”
