Billionaire Warns That Russia Must Be Defeated To Save The Planet
(TruthandLiberty.com) – There are moments in time that galvanize and rally people of different political persuasions together, even if their motivations vary. Billionaire George Soros is an adversary of conservative political causes in the United States and worldwide. Yet, he recently put his environmental activism on hold in the wake of the Russian war on Ukraine.
On Tuesday, May 24, Soros spoke at a dinner he hosted for elites attending the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The left-wing billionaire warned that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine could spark a global depression and World War III, and civilization may not survive it. Surprisingly, Soros stated the pandemic and climate change needed to take a back seat, emphasizing Russia’s defeat is the only issue that currently matters.

CNBC noted the European continent is turning to coal to fuel its energy needs because those countries need to boycott Russian natural gas in response to the aggression against Ukraine. Some experts suggest returning to coal could cause irreversible climate change, but Soros said the West must utilize all the resources available to bring Russia’s war on Ukraine to an end. He added it’s likely the only way to preserve civilization, and worrying more about the climate than the war would likely backfire right now.
