Top Official SLAMS DOJ For Trump Stunt – Makes Heated Accusations
(TruthandLiberty.com) – the FBI raided Donald Trump’s home in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, on Monday, August 8, after obtaining a search warrant for allegedly taking documents covered by the Presidential Records Act. It’s unclear what federal law enforcement wanted or obtained from the residence. On Monday evening, Eric Trump said his father was cooperating with the National Archives, and the action took everyone by surprise, including the former president’s attorney. Former Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker stated the FBI’s approach was all wrong.

On Tuesday morning, Whitaker told “Fox & Friends” the government “crossed a line.” He called the action overhanded and said officials should have handled the situation less publicly. He noted without an affidavit labeling alleged crimes, the public may not respond well to an unprecedented raid on a home of a former commander in chief.
Whitaker added the country needs answers to many questions, especially as Republican lawmakers uncover politicization at the FBI. While the Biden administration focuses on Trump with over-the-top action, President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, seemingly evades prosecution over alleged illegal activities and potential corruption involving himself and his father.
The Mar-a-Lago raid marks the first time federal agents have searched a former president’s home in US history. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) claimed the Democratic administration weaponized the Justice Department and FBI against their political opponents.
