(TruthAndLiberty.com) – Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) slammed former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) following her suggestion that President Joe Biden should reconsider remaining in the presidential race. He proceeded to question whether Pelosi knew anything about running for higher office since as he pointed out throughout her political career Pelosi had remained in the House.
In an interview with CNN’s Erin Burnett, Fetterman argued that from what he knows Pelosi had never run for anything apart from the House, and she had never run for the White House. He added that she definitely had never won that. He proceeded to state that he was frustrated by the former Speaker’s decision to question the choice of the incumbent president to remain in the presidential race.
Fetterman noted that Biden had already made the decision and he would be remaining in the presidential race. He added that he would continue backing Biden who is going to take this through all the way to the election. He continued by stating that if he had any advice for Biden it would be that he should continue doing what he believes, and stay in the race if that’s what he believes. He noted that Biden would continue to have his 100 percent support.
Pelosi had previously suggested during an NBC “Morning Joe” appearance that Biden needed to reconsider whether he should run for a second term in office. Pelosi pointed out that it was Biden’s decision to choose whether he would run for the White House, and that they all encourage him to make that decision as swiftly as possible since time is running short.
Her comments have gained a lot of attention, as they came only two days after Biden had reiterated to Democratic lawmakers that he was aiming to continue running all the way until election day.
