Feds BEG As Biden’s Crisis Reaches DANGEROUS Levels
(TruthandLiberty.com) – Since President Joe Biden assumed office in January 2021, illegal immigration has spiked to record highs. According to the US Customs and Border Protection, Border Patrol Agents encountered over 1.7 million unlawful crossings in fiscal year 2022, ending on September 30. That’s higher than in all of fiscal year 2021. Now, the Biden administration is asking news outlets funded with taxpayer dollars to send staff and journalists south to help process the overflow.
The Daily Caller News Foundation broke the story on Monday, July 18. It says it obtained an internal email asking the government-funded journalists to volunteer to assist border patrol in Arizona, California, and Texas as large waves of migrants attempt to cross into the country. The Daily Caller obtained the email written by US Agency for Global Media (USAGM) Acting Chief Executive Officer Kelu Chao. It stated the Department of Homeland Security needed the extra help to ensure a “safe, orderly, and humane immigration system.”

Some journalists on the taxpayer dime have covered the crisis over the last 18 months, and the Daily Caller noted that the arrangement could lead to new problems. The USAGM acknowledged any journalist who helps at the southern border and then writes a story would reflect a conflict of interest. Still, the agency said it would screen all staff and identify potential problems before the reassignment.
