One of Former President Donald Trump’s attorneys has said that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis needs to stay in Florida. This statement was made by attorney Alina Habba ahead of the midterm elections during an interview on Right Side Broadcasting Network. Habba also praised DeSantis for the work he had done in Florida but also reminded that DeSantis would have never climbed up if it had not been for Trump.

Trump had previously endorsed the governor, whom many are speculating is planning to run for the White House in 2024. In August, the governor did not disclose whether he would support Trump if he placed another bid for the White House. At the time he had said that he was mainly focused on 2022 and his state, Florida.

During the debate with his Democratic opponent Charlie Crist, DeSantis had also hinted that his opponent had wanted to talk about both Joe Biden and the 2024 election, however, he had at the time said that “The only worn-out old donkey I’m looking to put out to pasture is Charlie Crist.”

Trump also mocked DeSantis during a rally earlier this month as he dubbed him “Ron DeSanctimonious.”

On Monday, Trump said that he was planning on a “big announcement” next week from his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. On election day, Trump said that he had voted for DeSantis.
