Some Democrats have admitted that they view Vice President Kamala Harris as a liability ahead of the 2024 presidential election. In a recent New York Times article, many of Harris’s fellow Democrats spoke about their disappointment regarding Harris.

As the article headline stated during her time in office Harris has been unable to “define her vice presidency.” This has led to many of her key allies feeling disappointed and tired of waiting for further action.

Democrats spoke anonymously to the publication for the creation of this article. Even some of those who had at first been allies of Harris had expressed how they had “lost hope in her” due to her inactivity. In the article, it is stated that private conversations in the White House, Capitol Hill, and across the nation point to how she has so far not risen up to the political challenge that she was selected for.

Democratic fundraiser John Morgan was one of the few people to open up about his opinions without being given anonymity. He said that currently the Vice president’s weakness is bound to become one of the key arguments used against Biden in the 2024 presidential election cycle. Morgan added that because of Biden’s age, considering he has already turned 80 making him the oldest serving U.S. history.

Morgan said that a lot of people are doubting whether or not Biden is a good option for 2024 just on the basis of his age. He further noted that Harris’s lack of a track record of success and achievement while in office is also going to prove to be a problem for the upcoming election.
