(TruthAndLiberty.com) – In New Jersey ,two of former President Donald Trump’s golf courses have had their liquor licenses not renewed following his New York conviction in the hush money case. State officials are leading an investigation into whether or not his recent conviction should affect his ability to hold the licenses.

The Trump National Golf Club Bedminster and Trump National Golf Club Colts Neck did not have their liquor license renewed by the state’s Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control.

The two licenses expired on Sunday; however, interim permits have been issued that allow the two clubs to continue serving alcohol until the hearing on the matter which is scheduled for July 19. The division has pointed out that the hearing is going to be taking place after July 11.

In an email by the General attorney’s office in New Jersey which was sent out on Friday, a spokesperson wrote that the conviction could potentially increase the possibility of Trump being disqualified from holding liquor licenses in New Jersey because of the New York case. They further noted that the burden of proof continues to be with the applicant who will need to show that they do meet the requirements for holding a license.

The division in its initial review determined that Trump continues to have a “direct beneficial interest” in the liquor licenses as he received profits and revenues from them.

The Trump Organization issued a statement to The Hill where they argued that the hearing for the licenses is “unwarranted and unjustified.”
