The Beans Have Been Spilled – 2024 Plans RevealedÂ
(TruthandLiberty.com) – President Joe Biden’s approval rating plunged over the last year, but the commander in chief has remained adamant about his intention to run for reelection in 2024. Already the oldest president in the county’s history, Biden would continue the job at 81 if voters re-elected him. One congresswoman apparently slipped and said he’s not running. Is that true?
Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) told The New York Times, initially off the record, that Biden isn’t pursuing the 2024 presidency. She clarified her statement after the reporter told her they were, in fact, on the record — stating again she didn’t believe the president should run for reelection. The interview wasn’t the only time she said he’s not running.
Maloney reiterated her statement on Tuesday, August 2, during a three-way debate with Jerrald Nadler and Suraj Patel for her own reelection bid. The congresswoman also shared her view when speaking to the New York Post and CNN later that evening.

Even so, if he chose to move forward, Maloney contritely stated she would back him. Numerous other Democrats have shown only tepid support for the commander in chief regarding another campaign.
Over the last several months, many polls have shown Democrats don’t want Biden to run again. His approval rating has hovered between the mid-30s and the low-40s. On Tuesday, August 16, the RealClearPolitics average of polls showed Biden’s approval at 40.2% and disapproval at 56%.
On Sunday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre admitted the president doesn’t enjoy widespread popularity. Despite his low ratings, she insisted he “intends to run” against a GOP nominee.
