( – On February 6, 2024, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) discussed during a press conference a new resolution she was bringing to the state where it was noted that former President Donald Trump had not engaged in insurrection.

Trump has now given Boebert his endorsement arguing that she was a “proven conservative”  and “trusted America First Fighter.” He proceeded to state that she was a leader who always delivered results for her constituents. This is despite the controversies surrounding him.

On Saturday Trump took to his social media platform Truth Social to announce in his endorsement that it was Boebert who had led the impeachment fight against Joe Biden and that she had been a defender of the Second Amendment. He also spoke about her work against illegal immigration and in the protection of farmers, veterans, and ranchers.

He proceeded to argue that Boebert, who has been pushing for energy dominance in the country, was a trusted fighter and had his full endorsement for her race in the 4th Congressional District of Colorado.

Boebert had first been elected in office in 2020, however in December she would be leaving the 3rd congressional district and would instead be seeking reelection in the 4th one. The 4th Congressional District is currently held by Rep. Ken Buck (R) who had decided that he was going to be retiring from the lower chamber.

Boebert claimed that her decision to switch districts was stemming from her family’s need for a “fresh start.” Her new district is a solidly red district which would help improve her chances of winning the Republican nomination.
